The best thing about coming to Bouncing Back was being able to talk to people. The worst thing about Bouncing Back is leaving! I love this group. I would like more Bouncing Back!
— Young person, Bouncing Back Group, 2015

Bouncing Back is a 6 week group work programme for 11-16 year olds affected by domestic abuse where the non-abusive parents is no longer in a relationship with the perpetrator.

It can help participants to:

  • Learn and understand more about domestic abuse
  • Share their feelings and experiences with others
  • Feel safe
  • Learn to manage their feelings such as anger or anxiety
  • Understand what a healthy relationship is

The group is run by experienced DBS checked, Children and Young People’s Advocacy workers. They use a variety of techniques such as art and design, drama, video clips and interactive exercises to make it fun and easier for the young people to take part.
