The CandYP Project consists of one-to-one sessions facilitated by trained workers. These sessions allow children (5 -16 years of age) and their mums (or other significant adults) to communicate together about the abuse that has happened in their lives. This process can help strengthen the relationship, promote safety and understanding.

Our Bouncing Back Group is for young people aged 11-16 years old. Over the six weekly sessions, young people can learn and understand more about abuse, healthy relationships. It helps young people to feel less alone with their feelings, to connect with others, to express their emotions in safe, healthy ways, and to feel stronger and more settled in themselves.

Haven was successful in securing money from the South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioners to begin a pilot project in 2015-16 with Sheffield schools, using Women's Aid's Helping Hands toolkit with primary school children. Following the success of the pilot, we are now delivering Helping Hands courses to schools across the city.
